RHS VIAJÓ A ESPAÑA
RHS students (in levels 3 to 5) traveled to Southern Spain (Andalucía) from February 16th-24th this winter. Students explored Sevilla and saw La Catedral Santa Maria de la Sede (the grave site of Christopher Columbus), Roman and Greek ruins, and much more. From there, they met with their host families in the Atlantic coastal town of Barbate where they stayed for 4 nights. They attended Spanish high school for 2 days, traveled and visited the ancient cities of Cádiz, and Vejer de la Frontera. On Thursday, they departed for Granada and on the way, visited the roman ruins of Baelo Claudia in Bolonia, Spain. Although students thoroughly enjoyed the marvel of Spanish history, culture, and gastronomy, they overwhelmingly reported (on their outtake google form) that their highlight was staying with their Spanish siblings and practicing Spanish. ¡Olé!
The students that attended the trip organized by Barbara Barker and Patricia Galasso are Alexander De la Cruz, Thelma Flowers, Isabella Hnatiuk, Deen Iqbal, Giulia Jiménez Galasso, Emily Kang, Dean Kat, Ethan Kraisorn, Julian Marlin, Emilio Olivares, Maiah Riedel, Emily Scharfenberg, Aaron Shefter, Michael Shkop, Gabriel Soto, and Abby Urbaez.
