RHS Alumni Class Visit

Anika Tsapatsaris, 2018 graduate of RHS, gave a talk to Ms. Shah's Physics, Engineering, and Art classes. Tsapatsaris graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture in May 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. This is her third consecutive year presenting to Ms. Shah's classes and she credits the RHS physics program for having stimulated her creative way of thinking and architectural career. For Tsapatsaris, "Architecture is the perfect synthesis of science and symbolism -- which is exactly what these courses achieve by hybridizing physics, engineering, and art. Never underestimate the power of a simple concept; find a shape or symbol that means something to you, and you'll be surprised at how quickly you can arrive at a structural and symbolically-meaningful solution."
