Michael McCreary Visits RHS

Autistic comedian, actor, author, and TEDx speaker Michael McCreary treated students and staff to a comedic presentation entitled “Life with Autism Spectrum Disorder.” Michael touched on many topics as they are experienced by someone on the autism spectrum. His performance was informative, inspiring, and hilarious!

Michael is the author of Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic, one of this year’s book selections for students in grades 9-12 as part of the “Tell Me Your Story” initiative for the English Language Arts Department. Over 600 RHS students read Michael’s book from the five titles offered!

Coordinated by Susan Nold, English Language Arts Supervisor, and Corrina Moss-Keller, Library Media Specialist, this two-day event included presentations for each grade level as well as visits with several small student groups.

Michael is currently acting in the series Astrid & Lilly Save the World (SYFY Network) and in the second season of Ginny & Georgia (Netflix). During the past eight years, he has performed stand-up shows and delivered keynote addresses in every province in Canada and across the United States.
