Saying goodbye to winter's salty roads, Chemistry Honors students used colligative properties to make ice cream on the school prep rally day. Thanks to Vice Principal Danielle Wood for securing the crushed ice needed to create -25°C refrigeration, which made the experiment and treat possible. What a tasty way to share in the arrival of spring!

We are proud to announce that Team Speech Flow and Team OsmoSip have been named two of the top ten finalists in the 2026 NJSTEAM Tank. Team VitaFlow have been selected one of the three finalist in the international Thomas Edison Pitch Contest. All three teams will compete in May for cash prizes and 3D printers for our school.
Team Speech Flow, Sophomores Kathryn Shin, Roy Sun, Ayan Desai, and Derek Turso developed Speech Flow, a novel device designed to assist users with speech impairments.
Team OsmoSip, Juniors Kristin Adamiak, Katherine Keating, and Radha Patel created OsmoSip, a portable water bottle that uses a reverse osmosis filter to remove PFAS and microplastics.
Team VitaFlow, Seniors Elliott Yi, Ben Soung, Aarav Motivala and Junior Matias Levani invented VitaFlow, a novel powerless IV delivery system.
This year a record 13 RHS teams—70 students in all—advanced to the regional round at STEAM Tank and six teams at Thomas Edison Pitch Contest reflecting a year-round, sustained effort by our students and mentors. We congratulate all the accomplishment of RHS student inventors.
