RHS teachers Amy Mason and Stefanie Gigante presented about AI in the world language classroom at the annual convention of ACTFL (American Council of Teachers of Foreign Language). Both had standing-room-only crowds in their individual workshops for the AI Corner Classroom, and then participated in a packed Q&A on Sunday with all the presenters. They had a great time at this unique professional development opportunity!
The Maroon Brew Crew is back in action! Our PREP Work Skills students have been busy brewing, preparing, and delivering coffee orders throughout the building as part of a hands-on program designed to build real-world vocational skills. We’ll be taking and delivering coffee orders for RHS staff during Period 8 on 3-Days, so keep an eye out for the order form each of those mornings. Thank you for supporting our hardworking Maroon Brew Crew as they continue to learn, grow, and serve our school community!

On November 20, the CPM II class visited the Fertility Institute of NJ & NY in Oradell, where Dr. Levine, a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist, spoke with students about his specialty and answered questions about the field. Staff members also explained their roles and shared what daily operations look like within a fertility clinic. Students especially enjoyed viewing lab samples through microscopes and interacting with the embryologist and nurses directly. The visit highlighted a range of medical and laboratory careers within reproductive medicine and encouraged student engagement and exploration of future career possibilities!

Our PREP program held its Thanksgiving celebration on Wednesday, November 19. Students brought in special foods and items that showed their family traditions and cultures. Everyone had a chance to share, learn about one another, and enjoy a warm, welcoming meal together. It was a great way to build community and celebrate what makes each of our families unique.

Mrs. O'Brien’s PREP class took part in the Ridgewood Library’s Book Club to Go program this fall. Students read The Wild Robot, compared the book with the movie, and worked on fun activities to help them understand the story. This project helped students build reading skills
and enjoy a shared learning experience. Thank you, Ridgewood Public Library, for supporting our class!
