Physics, Engineering, & Art
Ms. Shah and Mr. Mitchell's Physics Engineering & Art classes recently took a field trip to Manhattan to learn about the physics behind New York architecture. Students walked the High Line, explored the Vessel and Shed in Hudson Yards, and walked around the artificial island, Little Island. Steve Colletta, who oversaw construction of the Shed, showed the students around the facility and explained its complex technical aspects, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of what the building process entailed.

RHS BAND
On Friday, October 14, 8th grade band members from BF and GW spent the morning at RHS learning about the RHS Band Program. They sat in on a Wind Ensemble rehearsal with Mr. Haas, had a Q&A session with Mr. Luckenbill, and enjoyed a demonstration performance by the award-winning marching band before being treated to a pizza lunch sponsored by the RHS Band Association.
FRENCH CLUB
The French Club held a cheese-tasting meeting on Wednesday, October 12, and members enjoyed five different types of cheese along with grapes and crackers. A short presentation of the various cheeses was displayed while members assorted their plates. Members also watched the videos submitted in both French and English of how the class spent their summers. The embers ended the meeting by ranking their favorite kinds of cheese with the majority preferring Brie and goat cheese. Come join French club to enjoy various activities held every Wednesday biweekly!
