German Students Visit Germany & Austria

The trip was organized by the German department and 9 German students accompanied Frau Makhlouf and Mr. Ferreri for 

8 days. Some of the highlights were: we visited the downtown of Munich with the Marienkirche and the Viktualienmarkt, took part in a bike tour through Munich, and visited Dachau Concentration Camp. In Salzburg we spent time discovering the old town and going to a Salt Mine. In Vienna we saw famous castles, admired the architecture of St. Stephen's Cathedral, visited the Prater (amusement park) and discovered many other things. Of course we ate our way through Germany and Austria ;) - Frau Makhlouf

Algebra II Honors

Ms. Weinstein's Algebra II Honors students use modeling clay to model an infinite geometric series as a way of illustrating that there are cases in which an infinite list of terms can reach a finite sum. They then used the patterns they established to derive formulas for the sums themselves!

Students in my chemistry classes practiced stoichiometry calculations using s’mores.
