In the Classroom
Some of the ASL level 2 and 3 students went to Ridge High School to see Matt “The Hammer” Hamill, Pro Deaf UFC Champion, give a presentation. Students were invited to a meet and greet where they got to take photos with Matt and get his autograph. ASL students from all around North Jersey were given the opportunity to socialize using ASL! We also got the inside scoop for the movie “The Hammer 2” being released in 2026.

In the month of March, Project Interact members helped with the set up, activities, and clean up for Super Science Saturday at RHS. Members also helped at the food drive at Stop & Shop in Ridgewood. Congratulations to Alex Amen for being the member of the month for March!
The Applied Engineering Club recently hosted a pizza party to celebrate a productive month. Our club was proud to have four dedicated juniors—Maanas Chinni, Ishaan Chakrabarty, Neal Shrimali, and Jayin Johnson participating in the New Jersey Science Bowl held at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. The month continued with an impressive turnout at Super Science Saturday, where 15 teams showcased their innovative inventions. Additionally, during lunch, 12 teams competed vigorously among 80 high school teams at the NJSTEAM Tank Regional and the Thomas Edison Pitch Contest, with the final competition round scheduled for May.
To enhance our celebration, we welcomed Zachary Flicker, a distinguished RHS'13 alum, as our guest speaker. Zachary shared insights from his career journey, which has taken him to Google. We are immensely grateful for the support and contributions of our alumni, who play a vital role in the growth and success of our club.
