On Wednesday evening, March 25th, the community gathered to celebrate a district-wide art exhibition at RHS. Creating an immersive and inspiring experience, student artwork ranging from grades K–12 was beautifully displayed throughout the hallways and in the Carroll Art Gallery. The exhibit also featured an impressive collection of three-dimensional works that included clay sculptures and stunning handmade jewelry from our high school artists.
High school students led a variety of engaging and interactive stations such as jewelry making and photography. Some even demonstrated their skills through wheel-throwing ceramics exhibition and a drawing showcase. Interactive robotics added an exciting and innovative dimension to the event, drawing enthusiasm from attendees of all ages.
All of our art teachers went above and beyond to prepare for this event. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout with so many members of our community enjoying and celebrating the arts together. This event’s success is a testament to the dedication, passion, and talent of our art educators, as well as the creativity and enthusiasm of our students.

Happy Belated Pi Day!!
Pi Day, a math teacher's favorite holiday! Last week, students in Mrs. Fanelli Johnson’s class began their circles unit by measuring various household objects to see how close they could get to finding the irrational number pi!
AP Environmental Science Students and the Green Club Help Reforest the RHS Streambank
Question: What do the white tubes along the Hohokus Brook do?
Answer: Each tube protects a young tree.
Trees to help absorb stormwater, reduce flood damage, cool the stream, absorb greenhouse gases, stabilize the streambank, provide wildlife habitat, provide athletes with shade, improve student mental health, and stop errant lacrosse and soccer balls from finding their way into the brook.
Approximately fifty trees were planted last year by the AP Environmental Science and the Green Club students. This past week, another forty-seven trees were planted in the span of two days. These students are not only making a long-term impact on their community, but they are also learning an important climate-friendly skill.
Eight members of the RHS Green Club went to Ramapo College and presented tables about wildflower meadows, rain gardens, invasive species, and native species at the Climate Change Learning Collaborative Culminating Event. This is part of a state program to enhance climate change education across New Jersey. They explained how climate change has impacted local biodiversity and how native plants can help make communities more resilient to long-term weather effects. They also attended presentations from nearby environmental organizations. Despite the rain and waking up much earlier than necessary, everybody learned a lot and had a great time!
Twelve Ridgewood High School students competed at the Northern New Jersey Regional Contest of National History Day at St. Elizabeth's University on Saturday, March 21, 2026 . The theme this year was Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History.
