¡Aprender en Acción! Spanish Honor Society
Brings Language to Life at Ben Franklin
Eight members of the Spanish Honor Society recently visited Sra. Paulino's 8th graders at Ben Franklin to share their passion for the Spanish language and culture through an interactive student-led lesson. The high school students planned engaging activities that incorporated the grammar concepts and vocabulary from the middle school students’ current unit of study.

Members of the RHS Applied Engineering Club on Team VitaFlow, which earned 2nd place at NJSTEAM Tank last year, competed in the Thomas Edison Pitch Contest, capturing 1st place at the event held at Thomas Edison National Historical Park. Their victory in this highly competitive international event marks the first time since 2020, with the win of Lemelson-MIT Solar Aqua Tech InvenTeam, that the Applied Engineering Club under the direction of Dr. Labowsky and Mr. Richard Plattel has achieved this honor.
The team includes seniors Elliott Yi (Princeton-bound), Aarav Motivala (Berkeley-bound), Ben Soung (Brown-bound), and junior Mathias Levani.
What's even more remarkable? The members completed the AP Physics C exam that same afternoon, then traveled to West Orange to deliver a presentation the judges deemed exceptional. Bravo team! Thank you for representing RPS so well!
A heartfelt thank you to Mischa De Moya-Burfiez, our Hearts and Hands Club President, our club officers, and every club that partnered with us to make this event a reality. The dedication, creativity, and countless hours of hard work transformed an idea into a memorable experience for our school community. We truly could not have done it without you!
Ridgewood Crew won a national championship and five total medals at the 2026 SRAA Scholastic Rowing Championships in Oak Ridge, Tennessee last weekend — the program's fifth national title in five years and a program-record eight boats in the finals.

Five medals. Eight finals boats. One historic spring.
Inspired? Learn to Row is now open for registration. Rowing is one of the rare sports where you can pick it up in high school and still reach the highest levels of competition — several of this year's national competitors didn't start until sophomore year.
