In the Classroom
It was all hands on deck for Mr. Wohner's Level 3 Building and Design Class as the students learned how to attach wood veneer using a vacuum press. They made a Day of the Dead mask using exotic woods. It was a race against the clock to get it into the bag before the glue set up. Using a vacuum pump, the air was sucked out of the bag which creates 1,750 lbs of pressure per square foot. The mask is on display in the Room 194 window.

ASL III played The Game of Life in a completely "voice off" environment. Students were able to apply all the vocab they have learned over the last 2 years to be able to achieve this. This is not an easy task since the game includes a wide range of vocabulary including money, housing, family, life events, careers and much more.
