The Career Pathways in Medicine (CPM II) program welcomed Crystal Fermano, PA-C last week, who offered an engaging introduction to the role of a Physician Assistant (PA). She explained what PAs do in clinical settings, such as diagnosing illnesses and developing treatment plans, and she outlined the educational path, from recommended pre-graduate coursework to the structure of PA graduate programs. Crystal also highlighted the wide range of PA specialties, such as dermatology, surgery, and pediatrics, helping students understand the flexibility of the career! Her visit offered students a practical, inspiring look into the day-to-day responsibilities, training, and opportunities within the PA profession. Thank you, Crystal!
Attorney K. Rusch (Caroline Rusch's mom) visited the Forensic Science and Criminal Law classes to speak about “The Constitution in the Courtroom.” She discussed several of the cases students have been studying—including the Boston Marathon bombing and the O.J. Simpson trial—and answered all of their questions.
