In the Classroom
All English classes participate in the Tell Me Your Story Book Group during the first quarter. Students chose from a selection of e-book memoirs
that explore various narratives and perspectives and offer an opportunity to establish a community of reading.
Using electronic book rentals allows for new memoirs to be available each year.
The Applied Engineering Club is experiencing remarkable growth, now with over 230 members. We have established 25 invention teams, with more to come. Our members actively brainstorm innovative ideas and develop technical solutions that benefit the community. Each team is supported by a knowledgeable senior leader, including Maggie Zhou, Krish Tulsidas, Kiana Carroll, Anita Patel, Nathaniel Han, Mathias Nguyen-Van-Duong, Aaron Shefter, Evan Matsibekker, Aditya Rajesh, Daniel Khalitov, and Trevor Phillips.
The Applied Engineering Club has successfully piloted the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam Program, with teams participating in the NJSTEAM Tank Challenge and the Thomas Edison Pitch Contest throughout the year. Over the past four years, the club has celebrated significant achievements, including 5 NJSTEAM Tank winners and 5 Thomas Edison Pitch Contest winners, resulting in a total of $8,500 in cash prizes and three 3D printers for our school. This success fosters a culture of empathy, inclusion, and innovation within our community. We invite you to join us in Room 397 every day during lunch.
