RHS Alumni Panel

On December 23rd, RHS welcomed back virtually eight alumni to speak directly to our current seniors about their transition to college. Hosted by Mr. Bailey, they gave advice on time management, study skills, friendships, and adjustment to life after RHS. The alumni panel featured the students below. Please take a look at the video!

Club Happenings 

Educate to Eradicate APPI Hate

Before the Winter Break, RHS Juniors, Lauren Shin, Carina D'Angelo and Shriya Dani (pictured), visited Ridge Elementary School to host a cultural fair that presented different Asian countries to 5th graders. Their mission is to spread awareness about the uptick in Asian hate crimes since the pandemic began through their organization, Educate to Eradicate AAPI Hate, teaching the students that Asian culture should be celebrated!

Anisha Tehim and "Girls Who CODE"

Anisha Tehim, a RHS Senior and member of the Girls who CODE club here at the High School, also works passionately to promote computer science and STEM for girls throughout the Ridgewood School District.  She started her own Girls Who CODE club for middle school girls.  The club meets virtually on Thursday afternoons.  See flyer below.


Applied Engineering Club and the NJSTEAM Tank Challenge

This is the third year that the Applied Engineering Club is participating in the NJSTEAM Tank Challenge.  Here are some of the community-inspired RHS team inventions.  Please check them out!

The French National Honor Society and the French Club.

Before the Winter Break, the French National Honor Society and the French Club had a party to celebrate the success of both organizations.  Games were played, including holiday trivia, and snacks were shared.  The Honor Society has aided with many tutoring sessions as well as French cultural connection meetings.  The French Club has made multiple all-French videos.  All are welcome to join the French Club!

Ridgewood Crew

Ridgewood Crew is a powerhouse at the Head of the Schuylkill, winning Four Golds,
Two Silvers and a Bronze in Philadelphia last Fall.

RHS Freshman, Emma Mohanram, won the Silver Medal in the Women's Freshman 1x at the Head of the Schuylkill.

Boys Basketball

#4 Boys Basketball improved to 4-0 over the Holiday break beating St. Joes and Glen Rock in the SJR Classic.  Pictured is Nicky Crane, Senior Guard.

RHS Ski Team

The RHS Ski Team started practices on the snow this week.  Their first ski competition is scheduled for Friday, January 7th.
