ADVERBS OF MANNER - це прислівники способу дії.
Зазвичай їх утворюють, додаючи до прикметника суфікс -ly.
Наприклад: slow - slowly, beautiful - beautifully
Винятки: good - well, early - early, fast - fast, late - late.
Наприклад:
She is fast. - She runs fast.
He is good. He works well.
They are late. They come late.
1. Якщо прикметник закінчується на ll, додаємо тільки -y: full - fully
2. Якщо прикметник закінчується на -у, то, крім додавання суфікса -ly, заміняємо у на і: happy - happily

Ted, who is my little six-year-old brother, always runs around me with lots of questions, “Why are frogs green? What is that big ball in the sky at night?” But even when I don’t have answers to all of his questions, he is so curious and annoying!
The girl who has long blonde hair is my older sister Sue. She is seventeen years old, and she always wears a lot of make-up and big earrings. Sue can be a bit selfish and bossy sometimes, “I’m the oldest, Mike, so you should listen to me!”
The man who has a grey beard is my grandpa. We call him ‘Pirate Ed’ because he travelled around the world a lot on a big ship. But that is only his nickname. His real name is Edward, and he speaks ten languages! Our grandpa knows a lot and tells us many amazing stories, which make him very interesting!
You can also see a man with a ponytail. This is my uncle Harry. Harry, who is my father’s brother, is very funny and makes us laugh a lot. However, his wife Linda, who is slim, is always serious. The girl who wears her hair in braids is my cousin Amy. She is eleven and she is very shy. Jim, who is her brother, is very thin, so my granny Liz often says, “Jimmy, you must eat more if you want to be big and strong.” The boy who is untidy is my other cousin Robert.

The Role of Family
My mum says life is so different these days — new technologies, new ways of communication, new standards and traditions. However, family still plays an important role in our modern world. Just like in the past, family means a married couple, with or without children. There are also relatives — people that are related to us, like grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins and so on. However, a family is more than just a group of people connected by roots. This is a place where we get help and support in life. Plus, different nationalities have different family standards. For example, in many countries both parents work while in others a man is the only person with a job. There are families where parents live apart from their children and those who are always together. Some children grow up in a full family, whereas others only have a mum or a dad. The number of kids in a family is not the same, too, and there are cultures where a pet can be a family member. Thanks to today’s globalisation, we can all share and discover different views and habits in every country. The Present Simple Tense
1. The Present Simple Tense позначає регулярну, повторювану дію або постійний стан в теперішньому часі.

The Present Continuous Tense
1. The Present Continuous Tense утворюють так: be + V-ing
2. Present Continuous позначає :
— безперервну дію або дію, що відбувається зараз:
Our planet is orbiting the Sun. (Наша планета обертається навколо Сонця.)
We are working now / at this moment / at the moment. (Ми працюємо зараз / у цю мить.)
— тимчасову дію, що відбувається в теперішньому часі:

We use ‘MUST’ and ‘HAVE TO’ to:
— describe obligation or necessity:
You must listen to your teacher. (obligation)
He has to go to hospital. (necessity)
— express prohibition:
You mustn’t drive fast. (prohibition)
‘HAVE TO’ means that someone else decides: Students have to wear a uniform.
‘MUST’ means that I decide: I must work.
We use ‘SHOULD’ for advice:
It’s raining. You should take your umbrella with you.
You must stop using swear words — Ти повинен припинити використовувати лайливі слова. (Зобов'язання, що йде від мовця. Мовець думає, що це необхідно).
You have to start work at 9 a.m. — Ти повинен починати роботу о 9 ранку. (Зовнішнє зобов'язання. Хтось інший думає, що це необхідно).

Hi, I'm Jake. My favorite subject at school is History. My teacher Mr Smith is very friendly and he tells us about a lot of interesting events that happened in the past. There were a lot of wars but there were a lot of cool discoveries, too. We also read about people who lived in different time periods and learned some dates. The subject that I don't understand is Maths and I hate working with numbers.

Hey, I'm Lucy and my favorite school subject is English. We don't only learn new vocabulary and grammar, we also do a lot of activities and play some games to practice listening, reading, writing and speaking.
