I firstly wanted to mention how wonderful the fete was on Saturday, it had a real community feel and so many people have mentioned it to me. Thank you to Sheila Gough and Louise Whitehead, the chairs of the PTA, along with Chris Pillings and his team and all the St Michael's community that created it. They never complain and I know what hard work it is. We raised an incredible £25,000 (less expenses) for our children which is fantastic!
'For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others'. Romans 12: 4-5
Thank you to Mrs Vanotti for the fabulous photos which you can see in the gallery below.
After all the fun of the Fair on Saturday this week we have been enjoying all the excitement of Sports Week!
See below for some pictures of the wide variety of activities that have taken place, culminating in Sports Day today for Years 1 -6. Full report in next week's web update..
On Tuesday evening we welcomed over 80 of our Reception Parents to a special introductory evening and we look forward to welcoming all our new intake in September.
Year 6 Production rehearsals have also begun with a vengeance and we look forward to their performances later in July - ticket details will be sent out to Year 6 parents shortly....
Next Week...
I can't believe it is the start of July on Monday!
Below you will find a full schedule of key events taking place in the run up to the end of term.
This includes Class Photos for all on Wednesday! All children to be in their uniforms please.
And on Friday it is Reception Sports Day as well as Year 1's trip to Battersea Park Zoo on the same day.
Finally, although we are all enjoying the change to the weather and hope it will continue, in this heat all children must come to school with a named hat and a water bottle and with suncream pre-applied at home.
Have a sunny weekend!
Mrs Harris Headteacher
Our PTA:
A HUGE thank you to everyone that supported the fete last weekend. The list of individuals to thank is endless however we would like to say a special thank you to those that helped on Friday and Saturday with set up and take down - thanks to all the support we were all able to get home at a reasonable time and in good humour. We very much hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as the Wandsworth Deputy Mayor did. She sent her taxi away as she was enjoying herself so much!
We took in £25k across sales, raffle, sponsorship and advertising, and can expect that to translate to a net of approximately £20k which is astounding, all of which will be put towards supporting St Michael’s. We hope you agree it was a phenomenal effort.
We will be having our final PTA meeting of the year on Tuesday 2nd via zoom. Please join us for a round up of the year and to share your views.
This is the final meeting of the Year and a chance to bid farewell and thank you to Sheila Gough who is standing down as chair after two years of hard work and dedication.

Royal Parks Half Marathon
We are delighted that our very own Miss Bostock and Miss Hotten are taking part in this event in April 2025:
The circle of control is a very helpful concept to understand for children. This poster is designed to show that mistakes happen, but they can learn to manage their reactions and grow from each experience. Share it with your children to focus on what they can control!
