Weekly Web Update

Dear Parents and Carers

Firstly a big 'well done' to all our Year 6 pupils for their hard work and diligence this week taking their SATS. Now you can look forward to your exciting School Journey on Monday with it all behind you!

3S had a great day out at the Tate Gallery on Monday and well done to all those taking part in the football event yesterday.

The Year 2 assembly took place in front of their parents yesterday morning and we loved the Mastermind-style way of recapping all their topics. Their 'sticky knowledge' demonstrated their pure enjoyment of their learning. Well done to all involved in such an entertaining and informative performance.

I do hope KS1 parents enjoyed 'celebrating learning' with their children over the past few days too.

You will see below that our Jubilee Week plans are hotting up and rehearsals for our special service on Thursday 26th have started in earnest....

Next week:

We will be waving off Year 6 on Monday morning as they head to Osmington Bay for their PGL week and can't wait to hear all about it on Friday afternoon when they return.

In the meantime, Year 3 are off to the Danebury Iron Age Hill Fort on Wednesday and Mini St Mikes have their Ugly Bugs Ball (picnic on the field)! I can't wait to see what Minibeasts costumes our Nursery children (and staff!) wear that day!

Also, on Wednesday afternoon most of my staff will have the opportunity to attend the brilliant defribillator training that the SLMT and First Aiders experienced recently.

Best wishes to you all for another warm weekend ahead.

Sports Week:

Monday 27th May - Friday 1st June

Please note that we will not be running a specific Sports Day this year but instead we will be integrating sporting competitions within Sports Week.

Trip to AFC Wimbledon's Stadium for the Year 4 Football Tournament

8 boys and 2 girls took part in the competition. In the first round of games we lost only one game to the eventual winners who beat us 1-0 with a last minute goal.

We then went into a 2nd place group and only lost one game in that group. We came 6th out of 22 teams and can be very proud with how we played.

Pupil Voice

“We played really well and could have drawn the 1st game. I think we could do better but we still did good. I really enjoyed playing in goal and that we defended and attacked well as a team. I was so happy and excited to play in a real football stadium.” 4S pupil
