We have reached the end of Week 1 of Spring Term 2 and Spring is definitely in the air, despite the rain!
We have already been putting our outdoor classroom to great use for the Scholastic Book Fair and by now every child will have had a chance to visit the Fair and complete their wish list and also will have received a £1 World Book Day voucher.
Our Lent Appeal continues - see below - and we are already on Day 9 of our 40 Days of Kindness. I hope you are all enjoying using the chart together at home too.
I was delighted to host the Church Heads Cluster meeting yesterday morning when we had ten attendees who all admired our lovely school while they were here. We are busy collaborating on lots of areas of education, sharing ideas and resources.
This morning the Reception children enjoyed a day of 'Explorers' - see below for more info!
We will be exploring Lent next week in our worship sessions, along with 'How do we support others in need?' These all feed into our Growth Mindset value of collaboration and the key theme of standing up to bullying with an E-safety focus.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16
Year 6 will attend a special assembly on Monday when they will all be gifted their Good News For Everyone Bible ahead of them moving to Secondary School.
And the Year 5 Level 1 Cycle training (the first of four group sessions) is also on Monday afternoon. There are still a few spaces available in the later sessions if any Year 5 pupils are still keen to take part.
Good luck to the girls in the football league next Thursday.
On Friday we are all looking forward to the Year 3 Celebration of Learning which will showcase their history learning: Prehistoric Britain: Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.
Finally, we will be collecting for the Wandsworth Foodbank all of next week so please do bring along any items you wish to donate to the tables in the playground.
Thank you in advance for all your generosity and support.
Best wishes for the weekend
