This week, we have reflected on the gospel value of forgiveness. Through our discussions, we explored the importance of letting go of grievances and building bridges with others along with the weight that can be relieved when we are forgiven.
We were so impressed with the number of parents who attended our Building Resilience in Primary School Children workshop today. It was wonderful to see such great engagement, and we hope you gained valuable insights and tools to support your children.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at the Church Christmas Fair at lunch time today! It was such a joy to see so many of you there, and the Chamber Choir was absolutely delighted to perform for such a warm and enthusiastic audience. Your presence and support made the event truly special, filling the day with festive cheer and community spirit. Mrs Minster will be very proud when she hears how well they performed.
Next week, we will focus on compassion, looking at how we can show kindness and empathy to those around us, especially during this season of giving. This gospel value forms an important aspect of our new vision and our guiding verse next week will be:
“Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”
(1 Peter 3:8)
As we embrace the Advent season, our Christmas festivities begin next week! Reception pupils will have their Nativity dress rehearsal for the whole school early in the week, followed by their full performance to parents on Thursday. We are so excited to welcome families and share in this magical moment.
The Chamber Choir continues to shine, with their second rehearsal at St. Barnabas Church on Tuesday evening, 6:30–7:30 pm, as they prepare for upcoming performances, including helping to switch on the Christmas lights in Southfields.
Our Let’s Rock groups will showcase their talents with concerts for parents on Wednesday and Thursday between 2:00 and 3:00 pm, and on Friday, the Orchestra Club will host their own showcase for families. Friday will also mark the first of our three Mufti Days—a fun way for the children to kick off the festive season!
We look forward to seeing many of you at these events as we celebrate the joy of Christmas together.
Warmest regards,
Angela Harris
Headteacher
