Our focus this week has been on serving every day, which we celebrated together in worship this morning. We have explored the question, “Why is service not just a task but a way of life?” and thought about the many ways we can serve one another through our words and actions.
The children also took part in First Aid training yesterday and today which was paid for by the PTA. During this time they have gained valuable skills about how to serve others in times of need. On Thursday morning, we enjoyed our first church worship of the year where our church team gave a wonderful example of service in action. Thank you to all our parents for helping us to provide this amazing opportunity for our children.
A verse that has guided our reflections this week is:
“Serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 5:13
We have been thinking about how true service is not just about completing jobs or tasks, but about showing love, humility, and care in the way we live our daily lives.
Alongside this, I have been speaking to the children about taking pride in wearing our school uniform and caring for it properly. We have been overwhelmed by the number of unclaimed jumpers, cardigans, PE tops and coats recently. Please could I ask you to help us reinforce this message at home by encouraging children to look after their belongings, checking that all items are clearly named and reminding them to wear their uniform with pride.
Thank you, as always, for your support in helping us nurture these important values in our children.
Have a lovely weekend.
