'We serve our community through the values of humility, gentleness, and compassion, where every child can flourish academically, personally, and spiritually, guided by the love of God.'
It has been truly heartening to see children already putting humility, compassion and gentleness into action this week — what a joy it has been to witness!
As we reflect on our vision and values, I am reminded of the words in Colossians 3:12: “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” May these words guide us as a school community.
A highlight of our week was our visit to the Polka Theatre to enjoy their delightful version of The Nutcracker. Children made us proud with their wonderful behaviour and engagement with the show.
As I had the pleasure of accompanying the Polka Theatre trip on Friday, I was due to miss the Year 4 Celebration of Learning performance for parents. However, I thoroughly enjoyed their fantastic dress rehearsal on Thursday afternoon—what a talented group! Showcasing how 'climb mountains', using our growth mindset values to overcome difficulties. A big well done to Year 4 children.
Looking ahead, next week we’ll be delving deeper into the first of our school values: love. We’ll be exploring how we can show kindness, care, and selflessness to those around us. Additionally, our Year 6 pupils are off to the magistrates’ courts for what promises to be an enriching experience.
Wishing you a restful weekend!
