As we reach the end of another busy week, I want to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful learning and values that have been at the heart of our school community.
This week, we have been focusing on the first of our three school values: 'Love'. In our worship, we explored how love is more than just words—it is shown through actions. It has been truly heartwarming to see how our children have embraced this, demonstrating kindness, care, and thoughtfulness towards one another in so many ways.
Next week, we will be marking Mental Health and Wellbeing Week, with a series of activities thoughtfully planned by Mrs. Stewart. The children had a fantastic introduction to this today, as our Wellbeing Ambassadors, Mrs. Stewart, and our Wellbeing Governor led a special assembly. A schedule of events has been shared with parents, and we look forward to a week that encourages children to reflect on and nurture their wellbeing.
It was a pleasure to attend the service of Collation and Induction for Reverend Vanessa Elston at St Barnabas Church on Sunday and to offer our support on this special occasion. I had the opportunity to introduce myself and extend a warm welcome on behalf of the St Michael’s School community. I look forward to building a strong partnership with Reverend Elston and exploring opportunities to work together in the future.
Next week also brings us to the penultimate week before February half-term, and we will begin with a church visit on Monday morning for Reception to Year 6. Here, we will introduce the second of our three school values: Service. Throughout the week, we will explore how serving others not only supports those around us but also helps us to grow as individuals.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10
Please see the message below regarding our school uniform expectations. We will also be reaching out directly to parents whose children’s clothing does not currently align with this guidance.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Wishing you all a restful weekend.
