This week, we’ve been reflecting on the importance of trust. Trust is the foundation of our relationships—whether it’s trusting ourselves, others, or God. We’ve encouraged the children to think about ways they can build trust by being honest, reliable, and supportive to those around them. It’s a wonderful reminder of how we can strengthen our community by working together with openness and understanding.
It has been Road Safety Week, and the children have been learning essential lessons about staying safe on and near roads. From understanding the importance of crossing safely to the dangers of distractions, we’ve focused on empowering them to make smart decisions to protect themselves and others. Thank you for supporting these messages at home!
As the weather turns colder, we want to remind everyone to take extra care around the school premises, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. Some surfaces in the playgrounds and pathways can become slippery in these conditions, so please tread carefully and ensure children are aware of the risks.
We’re thrilled to share some lovely news from our school community—two new babies have joined our extended family! Kirstin Lawrence has welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Jonah, and Louise from Kick is now a proud mum to a baby boy named Isaiah. Congratulations to both families on these wonderful new arrivals!
On Monday, the children will have the exciting opportunity to meet the Wandsworth Firefighters, who are bringing their fire engine to school! This promises to be a memorable experience, as the children will learn about fire safety, the important work firefighters do, and even get a close-up look at the fire engine. It’s always a highlight of the year, and we know the children are eagerly looking forward to it.
Next week, our focus will shift to the Gospel value of forgiveness. We’ll explore along with the Church Clergy Team how forgiveness can help heal relationships, bring peace to our hearts, and strengthen our connection with God.
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
This verse beautifully reminds us of the importance of showing kindness and forgiveness to others, reflecting the grace and mercy that God has shown us.
We encourage families to reflect on this value at home and discuss ways forgiveness can bring light into their lives.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping us live out our Gospel values as a school community. Wishing you all a safe and warm weekend, and we look forward to another fantastic week ahead!
Best regards,
Angela Harris
Headteacher

Road Safety Week:
This was launched at a special assembly on Monday by Mr Rochford when he discussed our road safety heroes and introduced various challenges for the week.
Please send in some pictures of your 'Bling your Bike', 'Sparkle your Scooter' or 'Brighten your Bag' challenges to share with our community.
Our TfL Explorers Ambassadors from KS2 classes have been tasked with discussing road safety with their classes and have already shown great enthusiasm for the role.
We will be working together as a team with Mr Rochford in his School Travel Champion role to find ways to encourage sustainable and safe travel.
