We welcomed two special arrivals on Tuesday morning - our local MP Fleur Anderson and a delivery of chick eggs - which have been gradually hatching!

Ms Anderson was extremely impressed with our Head Boys and Girls who hosted them, as well as our Pupil Voice who asked some excellent questions, including all about the Ukraine situation. We were very proud of our pupils and our school.

On Wednesday some of our Middle Phase pupils took part in the New Age Curling Festival at Southfields Academy and not only had a great time but came back with some stunning medals!

We continue with our Lent "40 Days of Kindness" activities, on Tuesday lucky Year 1 are off to Box Hill and Year 2 are headed to Windsor Castle on Friday.

Going The Extra Mile.....
Going The Extra Mile.....
We have had a wonderful day sporting red top clothes, red noses and red hair today in aid of Comic Relief. Thank you to everyone who joined in and all of the families who have donated to our Lent appeal. We packed up all of the donations for the Food Bank this week and have donated the boxes - again - thank you! These small acts of kindness and charity make such a difference in the community.

Next week we will have a Friday disco. Each year group will have some time to dance together - this is something that the children are looking forward to and will be especially welcome after a week of hard work. The Pupil Faith Group representatives in each class will help this to run smoothly.

In January 2022, as part of a review and reflection on the term ‘special educational needs’ we invited all parents from the school to complete a short survey which included questions about a potential name change and how Inclusion communicates with parents.

The majority of the parents that responded to the survey, which included the majority of parents who have children with SEND, support the change from ‘Special Educational Needs’ to ‘Additional Educational Needs’.

Girls Football vs Albemarle
Girls Football vs Albemarle
The year 5 and 6 girls football team played Albemarle yesterday and I am so proud of how they played. They played with smiles on their faces and played some amazing football. They were calm on the ball and used their skills to get out of tight situations. Some of the passing moves they put together were so good and resulted in them winning the game 6-1. Go St Michael's Girls!

On Wednesday 16th March 2022 six of our children attended the New Age Kurling Competition which they loved. They came back with beaming smiles with their medals.

Here is what one pupil had to say about the event "So I was a bit nervous because it was the 1st time I had gone to a competition. I think that now that I have done this competition I would feel less nervous next time. I am proud of myself because I actually knocked someone's stone out and got it at the centre target.”

We are so thankful for the wonderful community we have at St Michael's! Last week's Spring Social was incredible. Between the promises auction and quiz night, we raised an amazing £3,404 and had lots of fun at our quiz night! A brilliant night and a fantastic result.
We are so thankful for the wonderful community we have at St Michael's! Last week's Spring Social was incredible. Between the promises auction and quiz night, we raised an amazing £3,404 and had lots of fun at our quiz night! A brilliant night and a fantastic result.
Thank you to everyone who donated the amazing promises for our auction, to anyone who placed a bid and to those who were successful in buying one of the lots, to those who joined us for a fun and slightly challenging quiz night and finally to everyone involved in the organisation of these events. All these efforts are so appreciated by the committee, AMG and the school staff, and most importantly, our children!
Thank you to everyone who donated the amazing promises for our auction, to anyone who placed a bid and to those who were successful in buying one of the lots, to those who joined us for a fun and slightly challenging quiz night and finally to everyone involved in the organisation of these events. ...in the week that our local MP told us she was raising in Parliament the issue of a shortage of bees, this Year 5 boy presented Mrs Grant with a jar of honey and homemade honey lip balm he has made from his very own beehive...
