This week, we’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to serve our community, one of the key ways we live out our school values of Love, Serve, and Grow. It has been a joy to welcome so many of you into school for our parent evenings, sharing in the progress and achievements of your children.
Our Year 5 pupils also shone brightly in their spelling competition—demonstrating great confidence and perseverance as they showcased their learning.
As we approach the final week of term before the Easter holidays, we look forward to even more opportunities to come together and celebrate.
On Monday, we’re excited to host our Big Bible Bake Off—thank you in advance for all your efforts at home!
We’re delighted that Steve and Lou from the church will be joining us to judge the bakes, which will then be available to buy and taste after school.
On Tuesday, we’ll gather for our whole school end-of-term service, with a special invitation extended to Year 4 parents to join us as their children perform 'The Three Trees'.
Later in the week, Year 1 will be sharing their learning in a showcase for parents on Friday morning, and we’ll round off the term with our much-anticipated House Talent Show Competition on Friday afternoon. A reminder that school finishes at 2pm on Friday.
In all of these events, we’re reminded of the words in 1 Peter 4:10: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Whether it’s through baking, performing, learning, or encouraging one another, may we continue to serve with joy and purpose.
Wishing you a peaceful and refreshing weekend as we prepare to celebrate a busy and joyful end to the term.

‘Maths and Me’ reflections – exploring how maths connects to our everyday lives, times table games and friendly challenges, number spotting adventures around the school and maths jokes and riddles. Maths is all around us, so take the time to spot the maths in your everyday lives today!

We hope you and your children are enjoying putting the steps in for our Mad March fundraiser (started Saturday, runs until Friday 4 April)
Just to clarify the distinction between our fundraiser and the Sustrans Challenge:
- our fundraiser is raising money for the school PTA and is an inclusive event for all children at the school, so you can log distance walked, cycled or wheeled!
- the Sustrans Challenge was announced just as we were putting the finishing touches to our plans, so perfect timing really. However there is no fundraising element to this - the school may benefit with prizes if enough children take part but there's no sponsorship.
So if you are collecting sponsorship money on behalf of your child, it will go towards the school PTA and not Sustrans.
Here is a link to the information sheet should you need reminding.
Happy walking, wheeling and scooting!

Big Walk and Wheels Week:
w/c 24th March to 4th April:
Thank you to all the families this week that have made an extra effort to walk or wheel for Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel Week. The numbers have been really high.
Let's have a big push next week to see if we can win some prizes for the school by having even more children walking and wheeling.
A big shout out to our year 6 TFL explorer ambassadors for surveying the classes for Mr Rochford to enter on the Sustrans website.
Here are some pictures of our year 4 children creating their Active Travel Posters.
Please do share some pictures with us to show us your active travel to school.

Next Week's Theme:
Easter
Our spiritual question that links to this theme is:
How does the message of Easter inspire us to live with hope and selflessness?
Thank you God, For new life in the springtime, for flowers and birds, for bright green new leaves.
Thank you God, for new life at Easter, For Jesus who is with us, right now and every day.
Amen.
May God of the Easter garden bless in every season of the heart. May God of the mountainside bless in time set apart.
May God of the beach bless whether tides ebb or flow. May God of the upper room bless my doubt that I may know afresh the deep love of God that is stronger than death.
Amen.
