As we come to the end of the penultimate week of the academic year, there has been much to celebrate and reflect on. Throughout the week, we have continued exploring the Fruit of the Spirit in our worship and had a meaningful session with members of the church staff on Monday, helping us all consider how these values shape our daily lives.
You should all have received your child’s end-of-year report this week. We hope you enjoy reading about their achievements, progress, and next steps.
The focus this week has very much been on Sports Week, with a wide range of active, fun and inclusive events for all year groups, culminating in Sports Day today. Thank you to all the families who joined us to cheer the children on, it’s always a joyful highlight of the school year!
On Wednesday, I had the privilege of accompanying Year 6 to their Leavers’ Service at Southwark Cathedral. It was a truly moving experience, and the children sang beautifully in the majestic setting. This week, our Year 6 children also received their SATs results, and I’m delighted to share that they continue to perform well above national averages. Please see the table below for a summary of our school’s achievements this year – we are incredibly proud of each and every child.
KS2 SATs 2025
Next week is our final week of term. Please remember that there are no extra-curricular clubs running, and After School Club will run only until Wednesday.
Our final theme of the year is Gratitude and Looking Forward with Hope – a fitting way to end a year filled with growth, challenge, and celebration. As part of this, we leave you with the following message:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
– Psalm 107:1
As we prepare to close the year, we give thanks – for the learning, the laughter, the friendships, and the perseverance shown by our children. We look ahead with hopeful hearts, confident in God’s love and the promise of new beginnings.
Wishing you a restful weekend,
Angela Harris
Headteacher
