Today the sky's clear and blue

The radiant yellow sun warm and welcoming

Streets still wet from rainfall the day before

The world vibrant with life

As that fresh earthy smell spreads through everything

Autumn leaves turn brown with the new season

Yellow leaves blown away in the wind

Followed by dust swirling in the air

Trees with bare branches drooping with sadness

Every day I pray for peace

For nothing bad to happen

So that I can enjoy life

With birds singing and their soft wings flapping
