How Can I Ever Forget

Waves near and far churned as they approached

Crashing into and clawing at the boat,

it in turn tossing and turning

Like a leaf blowing in the wind

The boat bobbing up and down on the waves

Like a leaf dancing in the wind

Passengers tossed around amid rough seas

With seasickness being unavoidable

Vomiting throughout the entire journey

Many years have passed

How time has flown by

Whenever I reflect back on that life changing period

Tears come to my eyes

How can I ever forget such a time

Filled with so much sorrow and fear
