December 2023

You are invited to “A Soulful Climate Conversation” with Joan Brown, a Franciscan sister and Executive Director of New Mexico Interfaith Power and Light, whose core belief is that the active care of the natural world is integral to spiritual life and social justice. We meet for supper and conversation at St James Church, Taos, beginning at 5:45 pm on Tuesday, 5 December.

Our moment in time is an invitation to something new as we live into the climate and other crises, which are really soul crises, inviting us to explore together deeper meanings of love and action as human beings who are part of — not separate from —nature. We will have a conversation about soulful questions of grief, hope, creativity, evolution and also learn about practical expressions of loving Earth through energy projects, land, water, soil and food, and public policy advocacy that communities of faith and conscience are engaged in around New Mexico and the El Paso Region.

These monthly events are sponsored by the Earth Future committee of St James Episcopal Church, 208 Camino de Santiago, Taos. All are welcome at no charge.
