Fascia Iliaca Nerve Block

Application

Femoral nerve block과 비슷함. 원래 소아 block에서 유래했음.

Technique

double pop technique을 이용하여 방법이 단순함. 이는 needle이 fascia lata와 fascia iliaca를 각각 뚫을 때 느껴지는 pop을 말함. short bevel or bullet-tipped needle이 cutting needle보다 더 예민하게 느낄 수 있음. 바늘의 진입부는 ASIS와 pubic tubercle을 삼등분한 점들 중 바깥쪽 ⅔ 점에서 1cm caudal 위치임.

femoral a. 와 거리가 멀어서 artery puncture를 예방할 수 있음.

Side Effects and Complications

Intravascular injection and hematoma 가능성 있음. 해부학적으로 nerve와 artery는 1cm 거리를 두고 각기 다른 sheaths로 쌓여있음. nerve damage는 드믊.
