1. Core temperature
   • 다른 부위에 비하여 체온이 일정하고 높게 유지되는 highly perfused tissues에서 측정.
   • Central venous blood temperature와 같다.
   1. Tympanic membrane : Brain temp.를 반영 (auditory canal은 external carotid artery가 blood supply)
   2. pulmonary artery
   3. distal esophagus
      • must be positioned at the point of maximal heart sounds, or even more distally
      • the best combination of economy, performance, and safety
   4. nasopharynx : can cause epistaxis

   1. oral
   2. axillary
   3. rectal : core temperature의 변화에 비하여 느리게 변화.
   4. bladder
   5. Skin
