Principal's Update

Dear Colleagues,

We have come to the halfway point of term 2, and we have another 5 more weeks to the June holidays! The CV team has concluded their visit to the school this week. I want to thank all of you for your candid sharing with the CV team and I also want to thank Edwin and KPs for coordinating the CV conversation sessions.

Next week the boys will have their NAPFA test and this year the PE dept is trying a different way of conducting the test during PE periods so that boys and teachers will not have to stay back in the afternoon to complete it. But this being the first time, there could be teething issues and slight delays, and we seek everyone's support and understanding.

Now that the new library is being set up in its new home near the canteen, the staffroom refresh team is now busy working on the main staffroom renovation and we are on track to begin the works in June. This means that we will have to start packing our staff cubicles in preparation to vacate the current staff room. The main packing will need to take place in week 10 and we will give you more details about the move and transition plan next week but I want to encourage everyone to start clearing and disposing of papers and stuff from this week. It will be less overwhelming if we start clearing bit by bit over the next few weeks. One tip I highly recommend is to start digitizing old paper resources by scanning them using our printing machines as pdfs as it is much easier to store these as softcopies, especially if you have not have much use for them but would like to keep a copy.

To our Muslim colleagues, I wish you a Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri and to the others, enjoy the long weekend.
