Principal's Update

Dear Colleagues,

I want to thank you for your hard work invigilating and marking the scripts for our boys. It will be a busy week ahead with the orientation for the new P1s and our partners appreciation on Friday. Here's another shout-out for all to sign u for the free health check (it is actually paid for by MOE). As we enter a period of reviews of our work as a school, I thought it would be timely to re-tell the story of the Ashram Cat:

When the guru sat down to worship each evening, the ashram cat would get in the way and distract the worshippers. So he ordered that the cat be tied during evening worship.

After the guru died, the cat continued to be tied during evening worship. And when the cat expired, another cat was brought to the ashram so that it could be duly tied during evening worship.

Centuries later, learned treatises were written by the guru’s scholarly disciples on the liturgical significance of tying up a cat while worship is performed.

What are some of the ashram cats still lingering in our school?

Have a great week!

Credere et Servire!

Keep Believing and Serving,

Timothy Goh

Recess Dismissal

Information Details: During recesses, the boys say their prayers after meals before going back to class. Some boys need more time and assistance to be settled and prepared. In weeks 9 and 10, we will get the boys to stand at their tables, say their prayers and then proceed to line up in front of the stalls. By getting them to stand, we hope that the change in posture will help the boys to be more ready for prayers.
