Principal's Update

Dear Colleagues,

We have completed our first three weeks of the academic year, and the boys have settled in. Thank you for helping the boys transit well into their new levels and putting into place the classroom routines to bring order and structure into our boys' learning and growth.

We have also completed four levels' Parents Webinars the last two Friday evenings, with two more levels this evening. Thank you for sharing with the parents and helping to build that confidence in them. Many parents have also expressed appreciation for how their children have grown over the years under your care and guidance. It takes a village to raise a child, let's continue to build that rapport with our parents, to walk together in our heart-work for the boys.

Some boys have also begun exhibiting unruly behaviour, thank you too for taking it in your stride as you handled each incident and work with the boys and parents. As we embark on Restorative Practice in our PosEd journey, let us be guided by the thought that every child has that goodness and potential in him waiting to be uncovered. With a spirit of keen genuine interest in each boy, have faith in him and the good work we are doing, and we will help him grow and become a better, finer person.

Finally, I would like to meet each staff member by the end of March to catch up with you. Do set aside 30-60 mins depending on what you may need and either drop me a msg or email or book on my Google Calendar.

It's "ME DAY" Next Friday Afternoon!

Dear everyone, as mentioned at our Beginning of New Academic Year Staff Meeting at the end of December last year, we will be having a "ME DAY"!

Our first "ME DAY" is this coming Friday 28 January 2022, afternoon after school!

The afternoon is protected for you to spend your own time for yourself - pamper yourself with a rainforest spa walk, an ice-cream dessert afternoon, a curled-up book@home session, and so on. It's "me time", so to speak, to relax, reflect, recharge, rejuvenate, refresh!

So, make a date with yourself for that day!

Note: "Me Day" is our school's edition of MOE's "Focused Friday" - find out more about it under the "Me Day" entry on our school's google calendar here!
