Principal's Update

Dear Colleagues,

I want to thank those of you who went out for PSLE marking last week. I fully appreciate the hard work and staring at the computer screen for the most part of the day, and I know many centres faced difficulties. Nonetheless, I hope you had a good experience and benefitted from the exercise. I also want to thank those who stayed back in school to help the boys who came back too. We are likely to continue to see large numbers of staff and students down with COVID and we will likely need to be mobilised to cover their classes as relief teachers are also in short supply across Singapore schools.

I also want to wish our Hindu colleagues a Happy Deepavali! Especially as we celebrate the Festival of Lights, I recall the words of Mahatma Ghandi that even a single lamp dispels the deepest darkness. In the midst of our busyness writing student remarks, marking papers or relieving classes, I want to encourage you to be the light to inspire others and to help them see clearly. The term will be ending in a few weeks time, let’s hang in there and support each other.

Gentle Reminder: Release Time for Afternoon Programmes

By: VPs

Relevant Levels: All

Date of Event/Programme/Item: -

Information Details:

Dear everyone,

This is just a gentle reminder to everyone who has student afternoon programmes to release the students on time and to tell the students to let their parents know to give a buffer wait time duration. This is because some of the parents come by taxi to fetch the boys and the taxi cannot wait if the boys are released late. Also, you could alert our security Lionel / Raphael too if you have extra special activities with parents coming in as volunteers or to fetch the boys after the activities, so they are in the know and can respond to any parents who may require assistance at the counter.

Thank you everyone for the good work we are doing with the students in the afternoon programmes and activities! The robust spread of programmes and activities really help our boys to grow in perspectives and experiences!

Many Cheers! :D
