Most countries have a nation-wide minimum wage that all workers must be paid. Saudi Arabia is no exception and has a government-mandated minimum wage that no worker in Saudi Arabia can be paid less than this mandatory minimum rate of pay.
Saudi Arabia's Minimum Wage is the lowest amount a worker can be legally paid for his work.
At KAU, all employees, including faculty and staff, are entitled to receive at least the minimum wage as defined by the Saudi government. For Saudi employees registered in the Nitaqat program, the minimum wage is SAR 4,000 per month.
Saudi Arabia's yearly minimum wage is $7,585.00 in International Currency. There are 25 countries with a higher Minimum Wage then Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia is in the top 13 percent of all countries based on the yearly minimum wage rate.
