King Abdulaziz University’s efforts in water conservation also include several sustainable environmental initiatives, such as:
1. Planting native crops that rely on groundwater for irrigation instead of using fresh water sources.
2. Cultivating drought-tolerant plants that adapt to local climatic conditions, thereby reducing the need for frequent irrigation.
3. Designing outdoor gardens and green spaces with low water consumption, utilizing modern irrigation systems and native, water-efficient plants.
