King Abdulaziz University provides different types of support for its students, like affordable food meals, housing, transportation, and pocket money, for students from low income families to enable them to complete university education with self-esteem.
Low-income Students' Support
On the 22nd of April, 2021, the Charitable Fund of the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university launched 6 charitable projects to support international students who are studying in the university’s scholarship system.
The projects listed to support international students included:
the Student Leaders Rehabilitation Project, which aims to develop leadership skills and enable them to manage their advocacy and charitable projects in their countries
a project to provide food baskets and the project provides basic materials on a monthly basis
a financial and therapeutic aid project for the students and their families
a student housing project
a health bag project
student services and programs project
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Masoud bin Muhammad Al-Qahtani, explained that the Fund supports the services, programs and activities provided by the Deanship represented by the Scholarship Agency, starting with receiving new scholarship students from their arrival until their housing, providing subsidies, financial loans or operational programs to help students, securing some laboratory/library tools needed by scholarship students, supporting their social, educational, sports, religious and cultural activities, in addition to the many services provided to them throughout the academic year.
