These efforts directly contribute to reducing ecosystem change by restoring marine habitats, increasing blue carbon sequestration efficiency, and protecting shorelines from erosion.
• Intensive Training on Coral Reef and Turtle Conservation
Students from the College of Marine Sciences underwent a 6-week intensive training program at the Public Institution for the Conservation of Coral Reefs and Turtles (SHMS) in the Red Sea, enhancing their skills in marine science and biodiversity conservation under high-level professional standards.

In the presence of His Highness the Deputy Emir of Makkah Region and a number of distinguished officials, the College of Marine Sciences participated in the third edition of the Innovation Conference on Water Sustainability, organized by IDWS at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah, from November 25-27, 2024.
