KAU's Emergency and Disaster Center, is an Active member in the Jeddah civil defense committee for rain and flood season and also as an active member in the Makkah region civil defense Committee during national peak times like pilgrimage season and the holy month of Ramadan. As part of its national and international efforts in climate action, King Abdulaziz University participated in the #COP16_Riyadh conference, reaffirming the role of scientific research in combating desertification. In the #GreenZone, the university showcased a wide range of research projects, programs, and community initiatives aimed at developing sustainable environmental solutions.
