King Abdulaziz University has many sports fields and clubs, allowing free participation and use for faculty members, staff, students, and the surrounding community to promote better health and well-being. The sports clubs are managed by the Agency for Activities and Skills within the Deanship of Student Affairs, which is responsible for developing and approving plans for sports events throughout the academic year to attract a large number of students and promote a sports culture among all segments of the university community.
The university also focuses on discovering and nurturing athletic talents to prepare them to represent the nation in international competitions and events. Among the sports facilities available at the university are the sports tent, sports fields, and sports clubs such as the Equestrian Club.
King Abdulaziz University allows the local community to use its sports facilities by submitting a letter to the university requesting access to the sports fields or clubs for a specific period or on a specific day, as follows:
In 2024, King Abdulaziz University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized numerous local and national sports tournaments.
On March 17, 2024, King Abdulaziz University won second place in the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Volleyball Championship. (Link)

On January 27, 2024, female students from King Abdulaziz University achieved first place in the Saudi Universities Karate Championship, organized by the Saudi Universities Sports Federation and hosted at Effat University. (Link)
On November 28, 2024, King Abdulaziz University hosted the First National Games of the Saudi Special Olympics – Jeddah 2024. A total of 132 male and female athletes, representing 16 clubs from various regions of the Kingdom, competed in multiple sports.
The opening ceremony featured a sports parade and folkloric performances. The sports events included basketball, table tennis, and bocce.The games aimed to enhance the abilities of people with disabilities and encourage their participation in sports activities.(link)
