KAU has a very nice and affordable housing for its employees with current running projects to increase the housing capacity as well as enhancing the living environment to be more sustainable. Hence,
The ultimate goal of the “Housing Department” is to provide suitable accommodations to the KAU’s staff, and their families, so as to create clean & conducive atmosphere for them to have a convenient healthy & social life.
Activities & Assignments of Housing Department
Apply laws & regulations with regard to housing affairs.
Follow up leases for various occupied buildings, renovation & evacuation if required along with all related measures.
Provide accommodation as requested and according to the applicable rules.
Follow up & check-up on all processes of buildings’ maintenance & operations by means of competent authorities.
Follow up on financial issues and coordinate with the Financial Department for invoices settlements.
Communicate to the concerned bodies to render convenient services to building units.
Study pending requirements for building units & share these requirements with the relevant university authorities.
Provide housing testimony letter to residents.
The Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region Inaugurates the Project of the Model Housing Complex for Members of the University's Faculty
Furthermore, KAU is developing its housing capacity with a new huge project that started in 2019. The adviser of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince of Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, opened a model housing complex project for KAU’s employees, which has 780 villas, with a total area of 650,000 square meters.
