King Abdulaziz University continuously contributes to local arts, through ad-hoc and ongoing programmes, like public performances of university theatre groups, students' clubs, and public clubs.

On 18-09-2020, KAU's President welcomed the visit of Princess Doaa bint Muhammad, and her selection of the university to be an incubator for the cultural center and projects that intersects with the directions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the third strategic plan of the university (Taazeez), especially in the paths of rehabilitation, cultural training and student skills development programs, and constitutes a strong supporter of the cultural initiatives that the Deanship of Student Affairs is concerned with.
It was agreed to launch the Princess Doaa Bint Mohammed Center for Cultural Creativity, which is concerned with cultural skills and establishes initiatives that incubate creativity, and provides platforms for creative and culturally talented in poetry creativity, story writing, novel, theatrical text, and arts of all kinds such as drawing, calligraphy, photography, sculpture, theater and other arts.
For her part, Princess Doaa bint Muhammad praised the activities of the various and unique initiatives of King Abdulaziz University in various fields, stressing the importance of making a qualitative development of culture and bringing about a change in the concept of culture, by directing attention to the development of basic cultural skills among university students and general education. Establishing some forums and conferences interested in culture and the arts, transferring the center’s expertise to Saudi universities and establishing partnerships with them, and printing cultural books, are consistent with programs and initiatives that develop the Saudi contribution to culture and arts.
