KAU applies sustainable building standards that help minimize water use on campus.

King Abdulaziz University’s efforts in implementing building standards to reduce water consumption include the following:

1. Designing water-efficient plumbing systems, such as installing high-efficiency faucets and toilets to conserve water.

2. Using treated water for irrigation instead of fresh water, helping to preserve natural water resources.

3. Adopting sustainable water management practices in construction and development projects across the campus to ensure optimal water use and minimize waste.
