King Abdulaziz University has made several efforts to prevent contaminated water from reaching the water network within the university. These efforts include:
1. Installing backflow preventers on supply lines to stop contaminated water from flowing back into the network.
2. Safely disposing of laboratory wastewater to prevent contamination.
3. Conducting periodic water quality tests by taking samples from various points within the university’s water network.
4. Isolating networks carrying contaminated water from those used for clean water.
5. Regularly inspecting and maintaining water tanks.
6. Preventing rainwater from entering the water tanks to ensure water safety.
