KAU utilizes its research capabilities, to execute collaborates and support the national government in clean energy and energy-efficient technology policy development. This policy is renewed every year (on annual basis).
KAU, through the Director of the Center for Research Excellence in Environmental Studies, Professor / Iqbal bin Muhammad Ibrahim Ismail, participated on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, with a scientific paper in the conference organized by the Ministry of Energy and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology on the Kingdom's capabilities in clean energy innovation. The conference witnessed the participation of many specialized academic elites from inside and outside the Kingdom to discuss scientific innovations about clean energy in the Kingdom.
