"Saudi women are yet another great asset. With over 50 percent of Saudi university graduates being female, the government will continue to develop their talents, invest in their productive capabilities and enable them to strengthen their future and contribute to the development of the society and economy.
The university counseling unit is a specialized unit to serve the FEMALE student and support her in developing her skills, refining her abilities to adapt to life and the requirements of success, and helping her to find possible solutions to the problems she faces, to achieve adaptation and psychological harmony.
The Unit has multiple support programs, one very important of which is the Academic support and career counseling program, which provides support to students who are struggling or facing academic problems...This programs monitors the graduation likelihood of the students and provide the needed support when and where necessary.
Cabinet Resolution No. (63) regarding higher education for girls and some formal procedures for women's work in the government and private sectors.
This decision states:
1 - The Higher Education Council studies determining the inputs, outputs, curricula and paths of university education for girls in a way that meets the requirements of development and meets the needs of the labor market.
KAU also monitors the graduation rate of FEMALE students through its Vice Dean of Academic Affairs and Follow-up.

The Academic Follow-up Unit
Performing all the students' needs pertaining to their studies such as the deferment of study, dropping courses, and appointing supervisors
Forming committees and granting additional chances to improving grades or exceeding regular study periods
Checking students status as to being under enrollment and/or addressing the faculty as such
Amending marks for students whose results are (IP) or (IC) in previous semesters and addressing Admissions and Registration as such
Issuing status reports for continuing students

King Abdulaziz University plays an important role in participating in the renaissance of society and its progress by building a knowledge-based economy. Since the introduction of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 vision, the university is moving steadily towards achieving its goals in the field of education and participation in building a vibrant society and providing education capable of building qualified Saudi cadres for the labor market. Hence, it was decided to establish a center to align education outcomes with the labor market to ensure compatibility between the outcomes of university education with the national framework for qualifications in the Education Evaluation Authority and achieve the Kingdom’s vision by providing cadres with the skills and behaviors required in the labor market and characterized by a spirit of initiative, perseverance and leadership, and has sufficient self, social and cultural awareness.
The center aims to link education outcomes to the labor market, through scientific and practical mechanisms and means that ensure the possibility of linking education outcomes to the labor market and increase the number of women participating in the labor market while considering that the national workforce is the pillar of sustainable economic and social development. Therefore, this center has to continuously track FEMALE students' studying progress and follow-up for the sake of assuring normal execution of the graduation process as well as to align with the employment's requirements.
The center:
Ensures that the outputs of educational programs at the university are in line with the Kingdom's labor market and the requirements of the Kingdom's 2030 vision.
Ensures that the outputs of educational programs at the university conform to the graduate specifications that are compatible with the National Qualifications Framework.
Ensuring the quality of the specifications of graduates of educational programs at the university, according to the requirements of the Education Evaluation Authority.
Hence, there is a need for a frequent tracking of students on going studies in order to achieve the listed goals of the center.
