King Abdulaziz University strives to enhance environmental awareness and promote the culture of sustainable land management through educational and outreach programs directed at students and the community. The university supports practices that protect soil and natural resources and reduce land degradation through the following activities and programs:
Lecture – Faculty of Environmental Sciences
Presented during Arab Environment Day, aiming to raise awareness about the risks of desertification and methods to reduce it.
Tree Planting on Campus
An initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of afforestation and sustainable practices through planting more than 100 seedlings.
Faculty of Environmental Sciences
An event held as part of World Environment Day 2024, focusing on agricultural sustainability and natural resource management.
An awareness program targeting students in Jeddah schools, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, to promote the culture of land protection and environmental conservation.
King Abdulaziz University, represented by the College of Environmental Sciences, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, launched the “My Environment... is Safe” initiative. With the aim of spreading environmental awareness and educating society about the importance of preserving the environment, and stimulating good habits and behaviors that encourage environmental protection and care. The initiative included planting 100 seedlings, cleaning and removing waste, to improve the urban appearance, with the participation of university students and employees.
