16.2: university governance measures
King Abdulaziz University has been undertaking the necessary measures to support Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Below is a list of measures in this regard with their details.

16.2.1: Elected Representation
KAU encourages and promotes elections of different types on its campus, whether students' elections, faculty elections and staff elections. For students, specifically, there are even many types of elections in different areas of interest to students' bodies.
16.2.2: Students' Union
KAU has an elected representative for each faculty. These representatives, in addition to some senior faculty members, compose the “Students Advisory Committee” that started in 2017. Its role is to declare and propose the requirements and needs that would help push students’ goals and rights, and works in direct collaboration with the Presidency office.
16.2.3: Identifying and Engaging with Local Stakeholders
King Abdulaziz University plays an important role in the progress and advancement of the Saudi society, by building a knowledge-based economy. The university has been moving steadily towards achieving its goals in the field of education and participation in building a vibrant society and providing education capable of building qualified Saudi cadres that matches the local labor market.
16.2.4: Participatory Bodies for Stakeholder Engagement
Graduates and Skills Development Center for example, has been created to be the participatory body for stakeholder engagement in order to align KAU's educational outcomes with the local labor market's needs.
16.2.5: University Principles on Corruption and Bribery
KAU has assured the compliance of the university rules and regulations with the government national strategy, and it applies all its rules within the university premises.
16.2.6: Academic Freedom Policy
King Abdulaziz University's faculty members, have the freedom to conduct research, presentations, workshops, and other educational activities that express their research areas.
KAU's faculty members, have the freedom to choose the areas of research and to speak and teach publicly about their research. This is declared in the Professional Ethics Charter.
16.2.7: Publish Financial Data
King Abdulaziz University openly publishes its financial data in its reports and on its website.
