These initiatives include orientation sessions, academic support services, and specialized mental health workshops, contributing to a healthy and productive university community.
The Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University organized the Postgraduate Programs Orientation Day on Monday, 26 August 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm.
The event introduced students to postgraduate program structures, academic regulations, student support services, and available research facilities. It also featured sessions on research ethics, guidelines, funding opportunities, and concluded with an open Q&A session.
King Abdulaziz University’s Health Promotion Center held the World Mental Health Day 2024 event under the theme “Mental Health in the Workplace” on Wednesday, 9 October 2024.
The program featured a panel discussion on workplace psychological stress and effective coping strategies, in addition to specialized workshops covering emotional management, mental well-being, stress handling skills, and professional counseling. The event included contributions from several experts and consultants in psychiatry, nursing, and public health.
Ihsan Leaders Program – Volunteer Work
King Abdulaziz University, through the Volunteer Work Administration, launched the fourth edition of the Ihsan Leaders Program in 2024, which aims to develop leadership and community service skills among students through structured volunteering projects.
The program included diverse activities focused on teamwork, humanitarian impact, and sustainable community engagement.
This initiative reflects the university’s dedication to empowering youth and fostering a spirit of giving and social responsibility in alignment with national volunteer goals.
Research Beacons Program – Deanship of Scientific Research
The Deanship of Scientific Research (female section) launched the “Research Beacons” Program, which comprised a series of workshops and meetings aimed at enhancing students’ research skills and fostering scientific collaboration among different faculties.

King Fahd National Library's program policies target all segments of society, including children and the Children's Library, through programs and activities that suit their interests, and building partnerships with previous program participants by evaluating and assessing the success of implemented programs. The library also aims to introduce beneficiaries to sources of knowledge in an environment that combines fun and learning and includes resources and services for people with disabilities.

In celebration of the International Day for Tolerance and World Students Day, King Abdulaziz University organized the “Volunteering in the Languages of the World” initiative.
The initiative aimed to promote cross-cultural understanding, volunteerism, and global citizenship among international students, enhancing diversity, inclusion, and intercultural communication within the academic community.
Mawjoodin” Initiative – Student and Staff Services Program
King Abdulaziz University, through the Deanship of Student Affairs in Rabigh, launched the “Mawjoodin” initiative in collaboration with the Civil Affairs Department.
The initiative provided on-campus civil services for university staff, students, and their families, including citizens and residents, to facilitate administrative procedures and improve campus services.
